Worker Spotlight: Maate John

Maate John Roben is from the village if Kaleyaleya in the Bundibudgyo district of Uganda. He graduated from Rwenzori School of Preaching when Gregg and I were there at the end of January. While he was with us, he was an excellent student.

Upon returning home, Maate John got to work. The week that he graduated he shared the Gospel with a Muslim there in his village and baptized him into Christ. He also planted the seeds that we gave him for graduation and started caring for his goat.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, starvation has become a serious problem for many people in Africa. Maate John has contacted us to thank us for the seeds. He is feeding his family from his garden and even has vegetables to share with others in his village.
