Education in Agriculture & Vocations
Teaching men to fish...so they don't need a hand out
Our agricultural and vocational training programs are designed to promote long-term sustainability and dignity through productive work while creating meaningful opportunities for outreach. In agriculture, we teach practical, regenerative methods suited to local environments, including crop planning, soil health and preparation, composting, mulching, irrigation strategies, natural fertilizer,, aquaponics and hydroponics systems, as well as, small livestock management. Students receive hands-on experience in the field. They also experience raising animals such as: poultry, pigs, goats, rabbits, pigeons, and even guinea pigs! They may also receive instruction in beekeeping for honey production and pollination benefits. These programs emphasize stewardship of land and resources while helping families develop reliable food sources and income streams. In addition to farming, we provide practical vocational training in sewing, carpentry, welding, etc. This equips students to produce clothing, furniture, structural repairs, and other essential goods. These skills not only strengthen households economically but also open doors for evangelism, as the products and services provided become natural bridges for building relationships and sharing the gospel of Christ within their communities.
